What Free Edureka Courses Are Available?

Edureka courses have a live instructor and live tutors there to help you which is one reason why you shouldn’t expect any free Edureka courses on their website. However, they do upload a ton of free full courses to YouTube which can teach you a lot and allow you to test their course quality without purchasing anything.

List of Free Edureka Courses

The following list is divided by subject and I’ve only picked the best and most current free Edureka courses so that you don’t end up watching a 4 year old, out of date video. After the free video course, I list relevant intermediate and advanced level Edureka courses that are good follow-ups on the same subject.

Free Python Courses for Beginners

Python is a great language to pick up and relatively easy to learn as a first programming language. These two courses will get you up to speed quickly with Python development.

Here is a 2.5 hour long free Edureka course that is a good starting place for learning Python:

This course starts with the theories of data statistical analysis and moves at a quick pace into the practical applications and algorithms used in common data science tasks and jobs.

Free Machine Learning Full Course

This was the first Edureka full course that I found. It’s almost 10 hours long and is very comprehensive in explaining the basics of machine learning, the underlying algorithms that power it, and the practical real-world use case scenarios and industries that benefit the most from ML. I highly recommend this course if you want to have a firm understanding of the foundations of machine learning.

Free Microsoft Excel Course

Clocking in around 4 and a half hours, this full course will teach you everything you need to know to use Microsoft Excel to create powerful and dynamic spreadsheets useful for everyday and business use. The focus is on a complete overview of the basics of formulas, functions and macros to automate tabulation and create robust Excel spreadsheets. A great course if you’re not already a spreadsheet wizard because you will be one by the end.

Free Linux Administration & Command-Line Course

This 2 and a half hour course will allow you to fully administer a Linux based operating system from the command line, something I’ve done on a nearly daily basis for the last decade or so over SSH. This is Linux sysadmin 101 stuff right here.

At the beginning of this article I mentioned only having fresh videos, but this one was uploaded on May 25, 2017. However, the basics of Linux and of Unix/POSIX haven’t really changed much over the decades.

I learned the command line and how to edit using vi on a Sun UltraSPARC running Solaris, a proprietary Unix OS developed by Sun from 1992 until 2018. I still use most of the commands I learned back then and this video from 2017 will teach you all the core vital Linux commands that will serve you well over the coming decades. This video is still up to date on the basics of Linux.

This 3.5 hour course on Power BI starts with the basics of Business Intelligence and Data Visualization and walks you through how to use Power BI to make the most out of your data.

Here is the full Edureka Power BI training course:

The problem with services like Microsoft Azure is that they’re constantly changing. This video came out on Nov 10, 2019 but Azure has slightly changed in some ways and drastically changed in a few others. Regardless, this course is still 95% relevant and will help you get up to speed on the basics of Azure.

Free DevOps Course for Beginners

This 7 hour course will teach you DevOps concepts, terminology and tools with actual hands-on practice and experience. The video explores the theory and practice of implementing DevOps pipelines for existing infrastructure.

If you’re looking to make DevOps your career, these advanced courses will help you:

Edureka Features & Services: Overview, Strengths & Weaknesses

The reason Edureka courses cost a little more than competitors Like Udemy is because Edureka presents their courses live and with real-time instructors and tutors you can directly interact with. That’s the big difference and something you won’t find in these YouTube courses, so keep that in mind.

Edureka offer discounts from time to time which I also try and keep up to date in this list of Edureka coupons.

Some people learning best with some hands on help and with a live virtual classroom environment. For those types of learners, Edureka is a good fit, but everyone else should do their homework to see if the service is worth the premium price over a cheap subscription service such as Skillshare. Here is a quick overview of Edureka and their strengths and weaknesses:

Edureka has the highest quality courses on the internet, which is what justifies the additional cost to take their courses compared to some of the cheap elearning platforms. The two-way communication with instructors, mentors and staff are the big selling factors, especially because this means you get a hands-on, personalized learning experience.

For example, if you need help understanding the topic that was just covered, you can ask you tutor to rephrase it or teach you in a way that makes sense to you. The personalized nature of Edureka is the key difference and why I consider them to be a great value: you’re not alone in the class, you have real humans there to make sure you don’t fall behind or slip through the cracks.

I hope this list of free Edureka courses helps you learn what you want to learn. Please let me know in the comments if any of the videos stop working or if you have any free Edureka resources that you would like to share. Speaking of sharing, please like, share and subscribe! Thanks for reading!
