Oxbridge: Dedicated tutors are the stand-out feature of Oxbridge, which means you always get personalized help and answers to any questions you have
While you cannot deny that FutureLearn has more courses then Oxbridge, they are both great learning services in their own right.

Oxbridge: Dedicated tutors are the stand-out feature of Oxbridge, which means you always get personalized help and answers to any questions you have FutureLearn: Flexible enough to teach you small subjects, but versatile enough to get you a full college degree.

FutureLearn: Flexible enough to teach you small subjects, but versatile enough to get you a full college degree.
Oxbridge does not let just anyone teach their courses, but instead have a strict policy to only allow the best teachers to create one of their courses. FutureLearn is a learning platform that will allow any expert on a subject to create their own courses, as long as they pass a basic screening process. Oxbridge has better consistency and higher quality courses in general compared to FutureLearn because Oxbridge has fewer course creators who were screened heavily, while FutureLearn allows anyone to create courses.

Course Quality Review

Winner: Oxbridge
Oxbridge consistently has the higher quality courses.
In my opinion, while both services offer high quality courses, the victor has to be Oxbridge because they consistently have higher quality courses when compared to FutureLearn. Undoubtedly the fact that Oxbridge has heavily screened and vetted course creators, while FutureLearn allows anyone to make their own courses has a lot to do with the difference in quality.

Course Selection Review

Winner: FutureLearn
FutureLearn has more courses than Oxbridge.
FutureLearn has more courses than Oxbridge. FutureLearn has more courses because they let anyone create a course, while Oxbridge has fewer courses because they strictly vet their course authors.

Learning Platform Review

Winner: Oxbridge
It was slightly easier to follow along & learn using Oxbridge
When I talk about platforms, I am talking about the ways that the site teaches you, like video tutorials, interactive projects and hands-on testing, as well as awarding certificates. I really like the FutureLearn platform, but not as much as the learning experience provided by Oxbridge. I do think both platforms are great ways to learn, but I found Oxbridge better suited towards teaching me effectively.

User Experience Review

Winner: Oxbridge
Oxbridge has a slightly better user experience.
When we review the platform, we are looking at the learning angles of the experience, but for the User Experience Review we look at everything else, including the sign-up process, the wait-times, the quality of courses, support, emails, billing and more. While FutureLearn is a great experience from an end-user prospective Oxbridge has the superior user experience overall. We recommend both services, but feel like Oxbridge has the edge in this category.

Value Proposition Review

Winner: Oxbridge
Oxbridge offers a better value for most learners.
This is a tough category to judge because value is so subjective and some platforms are better values in certain situations but not others. To that end, in our opinion Oxbridge seems to be the better value for most people, although there are some arguments for FutureLearn being a great value as well.

Overall Review

Winner: Oxbridge
Out of these two great services, Oxbridge is our choice.
When I write reviews, I like to clearly outline the better choice. In this case, we have two great services, but Oxbridge managed to take the victory. We recommend Oxbridge because: Dedicated tutors are the stand-out feature of Oxbridge, which means you always get personalized help and answers to any questions you have

Pros & Cons of Each Service

Both Oxbridge and FutureLearn are amazing learning services and platforms, but they each have their PROs and CONs. In this section, I have outlined PROs and CONs for both services, specifically with how they compare to each other.

Final Thoughts

Comparing Oxbridge VS FutureLearn is difficult because they are both top-notch services, but they serve slightly different purposes and cater to different audiences. Oxbridge is our recommendation, largely due to their focus on providing courses that are supplemented by tutors who answer your questions and help insure a high pass-rate for their students, but for some FutureLearn is still a better fit. I covered the other differences in this article, but as someone who has used both services quite a bit, it really is difficult to call one better than the other. You really win either way.

I hope this comparison review has helped you, but if you have any questions please leave a comment or reach out via email. Thanks for reading and happy learning!
