Course Quality Review

Winner: Pluralsight
Pluralsight consistently has the higher quality courses.
In my opinion, while both services offer high quality courses, the victor has to be Pluralsight because they consistently have higher quality courses when compared to LinkedIn Learning. Undoubtedly the fact that Pluralsight has heavily screened and vetted course creators, while LinkedIn Learning allows anyone to make their own courses has a lot to do with the difference in quality.

Course Selection Review

Winner: LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning has more courses than Pluralsight.
LinkedIn Learning has more courses than Pluralsight. LinkedIn Learning has more courses because they let anyone create a course, while Pluralsight has fewer courses because they strictly vet their course authors.

Learning Platform Review

Winner: Pluralsight
It was slightly easier to follow along & learn using Pluralsight
When I talk about platforms, I am talking about the ways that the site teaches you, like video tutorials, interactive projects and hands-on testing, as well as awarding certificates. I really like the LinkedIn Learning platform, but not as much as the learning experience provided by Pluralsight. I do think both platforms are great ways to learn, but I found Pluralsight better suited towards teaching me effectively.

User Experience Review

Winner: Pluralsight
Pluralsight has a slightly better user experience.
When we review the platform, we are looking at the learning angles of the experience, but for the User Experience Review we look at everything else, including the sign-up process, the wait-times, the quality of courses, support, emails, billing and more. While LinkedIn Learning is a great experience from an end-user prospective Pluralsight has the superior user experience overall. We recommend both services, but feel like Pluralsight has the edge in this category.

Value Proposition Review

Winner: LinkedIn Learning
LinkedIn Learning has the better value proposition for most people.
This section is hard to review because value is subjective and some platforms are better values in certain situations but not in others. However, when comparing Pluralsight VS LinkedIn Learning, we find LinkedIn Learning to be the better value for most people. We do recommend Pluralsight as well though.

Overall Review

Winner: Pluralsight
Out of these two great services, Pluralsight is our choice.
When I write reviews, I like to clearly outline the better choice. In this case, we have two great services, but Pluralsight managed to take the victory. We recommend Pluralsight because: For those who want to learn bleeding edge tech, Pluralsight focuses on the most in-demand IT certs and new technologies.

Pros & Cons of Each Service

Both Pluralsight and LinkedIn Learning are amazing learning services and platforms, but they each have their PROs and CONs. In this section, I have outlined PROs and CONs for both services, specifically with how they compare to each other.

Final Thoughts

As you can see, when comparing Pluralsight VS LinkedIn Learning both platforms win in some areas and lose in others. There are definitely people who will get more out of one platform, then the other, but on the whole you really can’t go wrong with either. If I were forced to make a recommendation (which I am) I would choose Pluralsight simply because the courses are always top-notch, while occasionally LinkedIn Learning features content that comes off as less then stellar.

I hope this comparison review has helped you, but if you have any questions please leave a comment or reach out via email. Thanks for reading and happy learning!
