ed2go: Providing high school & college degrees, accredited online courses
While you cannot deny that Pluralsight has more courses then ed2go, they are both great learning services in their own right.
ed2go: Providing high school & college degrees, accredited online courses Pluralsight: For those who want to learn bleeding edge tech, Pluralsight focuses on the most in-demand IT certs and new technologies.
Pluralsight: For those who want to learn bleeding edge tech, Pluralsight focuses on the most in-demand IT certs and new technologies.
ed2go does not let just anyone teach their courses, but instead have a strict policy to only allow the best teachers to create one of their courses. Pluralsight is very strict about who can teach their courses, only allowing the best teachers to develop and publish courses. Both ed2go and Pluralsight have similiar quality courses, since they both only allow the most qualified teachers to create courses.

Both platforms cover all the subjects which we write about here LearnOnline.shop.
While both services cover the subjects that I look for, Pluralsight is thin on things like Personal Development and thick on all tech subjects like Python, IT certification preparation, programming, cloud and big data and other niche tech career paths. ed2go covers these subjects too, but you’ll find a wider spread of non-tech courses compared to Pluralsight. However, Pluralsight has over 5,000 more courses than ed2go, which is why I can say with confidence that Pluralsight covers more subjects than ed2go.
Expect to find more bleeding edge technologies covered on Pluralsight, while there are a few legacy and out-dated tech courses on ed2go. Of course, covering bleeding edge technologies is a double-edged sword, as sometimes Pluralsight develops a course and by the time they release it, large parts of it are out of date because the tech evolved that quickly.
One big advantage for ed2go over Pluralsight, is the fact that you can get accredited certificates and degrees from major universities with ed2go, while Pluralsight doesn’t offer anything comparable.

Course Quality Review
Winner: Tied
Pluralsight and ed2go have similiar quality courses.
Both Pluralsight and ed2go have high quality courses, but neither of them stand-out against each other in these regards. Rest assured, choosing either service means high quality courses in general.
Course Selection Review
Winner: Pluralsight
Pluralsight has more courses than ed2go.
Pluralsight has more courses than ed2go. Both services do screen their course creators, but Pluralsight has a larger selection of courses to choose from.
Learning Platform Review
Winner: Pluralsight
It was slightly easier to follow along & learn using Pluralsight
When I talk about platforms, I am talking about the ways that the site teaches you, like video tutorials, interactive projects and hands-on testing, as well as awarding certificates. While the ed2go platform is great, it is not quite as good as Pluralsight in my experience. They are both great platform, but Pluralsight wins.
User Experience Review
Winner: Pluralsight
Pluralsight has a slightly better user experience.
When we review the platform, we are looking at the learning angles of the experience, but for the User Experience Review we look at everything else, including the sign-up process, the wait-times, the quality of courses, support, emails, billing and more. As an end user, I found ed2go to be a good experience, but the user experience overall using Pluralsight was better. I definitely recommend them both, but Pluralsight is the winner in this category.
Value Proposition Review
Winner: ed2go
ed2go offers a better value for most learners.
This is a tough category to judge because value is so subjective and some platforms are better values in certain situations but not others. To that end, in our opinion ed2go seems to be the better value for most people, although there are some arguments for Pluralsight being a great value as well.
Overall Review
Winner: Pluralsight
Out of these two great services, Pluralsight is our choice.
When I write reviews, I like to clearly outline the better choice. In this case, we have two great services, but Pluralsight managed to take the victory. We recommend Pluralsight because: For those who want to learn bleeding edge tech, Pluralsight focuses on the most in-demand IT certs and new technologies.
Pros & Cons of Each Service
Both ed2go and Pluralsight are amazing learning services and platforms, but they each have their PROs and CONs. In this section, I have outlined PROs and CONs for both services, specifically with how they compare to each other.
Both of these platforms are great for the right student. For those looking for school accreditation, ed2go is easy to recommend. For those looking to learn and advance their career in the tech industry, Pluralsight is among the best tech focused e-learning platforms out there.
If I were forced to choose between the two (which I am as part of writing this article) then I would pick Pluralsight. Pluralsight’s course quality is phenomenal, the rate that they produce new courses on interesting and career boosting subjects makes them a good value, and they offer a bunch of different economical ways to start using their courses.
I still think that a good chunk of you reading this will be better served by ed2go, so hopefully the tables and comparisons above have helped you figure out whether or not ed2go is the choice for you or not. Either way, I want to thank you for reading this! Let me know in the comments below if you liked this article, if you have any questions, or if you’d just like to say hi! Happy learning!
